Even though I haven’t done a Luigi’s Mansion review. I didn’t grow up with the original Luigi’s Mansion gameplay, since I didn’t even own a Gamecube until the early 2010’s, but when I did play it, I fell in love. Completely fresh and innovative ghost-hunting gameplay from Nintendo with a bleak and tense atmosphere and fantastic minimalist soundtrack (seriously, go and search Luigi’s Mansion OST right now, it’s brilliant). The original was so good, they even tried a Luigi’s Mansion 3DS version. I did a Luigi’s Mansion 3DS review a few years back, and I found it….fine? But nothing like the original. As far as Luigi’s Mansion Dark Moon is concerned - well, Luigi’s Mansion 2 in the UK anyway - I liked it a lot, but felt like the stage select system was a step down from before, and the over-excitable sountrack sucked the atmosphere out of the gothic and gloomy visuals. Luigi’s Mansion 3 gameplay takes every step forward correctly after Dark Moon, almost to the point of it feeling more like a Luigi’s Mansion 2 than Dark Moon did. And I’m ecstatic to say that, since after seeing the Luigi’s Mansion 3 trailer reveal, I got more hyped than I care to admit. In this Luigi’s Mansion 3 review, you’ll find out what I think about everything from the music and soundtrack and especially the new mechanics, including the horrific Gooigi, and Luigi’s Mansion 3 all bosses.
